”I want to be less anxious”
“I wish I didn’t eat so much”
“I don’t want to stress so much”

Saying these things to yourself is like saying “I don’t want to buy a ticket to London”. Your subconscious mind does not understand where you want to go if you don’t give it a specific, positively formulated goal. These statements don’t work because they are away-from motivated. If you don’t want to be anxious, what do you want to be, instead of? What is the opposite of eating too much? Or stress so much?

If you only tell your subconscious mind what you want to get away from, you aren’t giving it any directions. The opposite, in fact. Your subconscious mind hears the words “anxious”, “eat so much” and “stress so much” and it because it interprets statements very literally, it thinks this is what you want. It doesn’t understand the word “not” or negations.

Rather give your subconscious mind the positively formulated direction you want to move towards. It will then understand where you want to go and will work with you towards that. “I want to be more calm”, I would like to eat healthier”, I want to take things one at a time” could be opposites, depending on what you would like to achieve.
Think carefully over where you want to go and give that thought your energy and attention. Your subconscious mind will then know what you want and what you want to move towards, and not what you want to move away from.

Enjoy your direction and your goals!
